Welcome Bernadette Taylor

We are pleased to welcome to the swim-1st team....Bernadette Taylor.

Bernadette has experience of teaching children of all ages. She has completed the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge, Great Britain 3 peaks challenge and taken part in swimathons. Her favourite swimming stroke is freestyle. Bernadette has a great rapour with the children and we are pleased she has joined our team.

Very successful junior triathlon taster sessions in the summer

Great news, after the very successful junior triathlon taster sessions in the summer Swim-1st have created Swim-1st Junior Tri Club.

We train at the impressive grounds of Handcross Park School every Monday evening for 8-15yrs. Triathlon is the fastest growing sport in the country and there are lots of junior races in Sussex. If you would like your child to train with fun professional coaches then please contact junior@swim-1sttriclub.com.

5m badges for Grace & Olivia

Olivia (left) and Grace (right) are awarded their first swimming badges by their instructor Lee Basset. Both achieved their 5m badges in October 2010 and they are not even 4 years old yet!

6 year old swims 2km

Jessica Glassford has just recently achieved her 2000m badge at aged only 6 years old. Jessica has private swimming lessons in the newly updated Health Club at Cottesmore Golf & Country Club in Pease Pottage. Jessica is taught by Lee Basset who manages the Health Club and also runs Swim-1st. “Jessica came to me as a beginner less than 2 years ago, in the 12 years I have been teaching this is one of the finest achievements at such a young age I have seen, I am really pleased with Jessica’s swimming technique and believe she has great swimming potential for the future”.
